Crabber:

Ron Meischker

Crabber Biography:

When someone mentions crabbing on Patcong Creek, chances are Ron Meischker’s name is going to come up.    Known throughout the mid-Atlantic region for his crabbing exploits on Patcong Creek, this Somers Point native has earned the unofficial title of “King of the Patcong” from fellow crabbers.   Ron can be found several times a week filling up baskets full of green and blue plunder on the creek.

Despite the fact his boat Bushelled Out has brought more crabs than any other vessel in the history of the tournament, Meischker is motived by the fact that his name has still yet to be engraved on the Largest Crab Contest Plaque.
