Crabber Biography:

There are some names that just go together. Frazier and Ali. Laurel and Hardy. Lavern and Shirley. In the world of crabbing, it’s the Scap Capt. and Muskrat Willy.

Though 2013 was his first appearance at the Assault on Patcong Creek, Will Roberts is no stranger to the water or big crabs. Roberts is a longtime crabber, fisherman and hunter and a steady fixture on the El Cangrejo Negro, and is hoping his name will be engraved on the tournament’s Largest Crab trophy.

: Congratulations to Allison Hillman of Mullica Hill, NJ and Mason Weiss of Sewell, NJ on be selected as our scholarship recipients for the NJ Fish & Wildlife’s Sedge Island Field Experience in August. Allison is a three-year participant of the tournament and a junior champion decoy carver. Mason is a four-year tournament volunteer who is active in scouting. He hopes to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. We will honor them both and present them with checks at this year’s tournament.
