Crabber:

Evan Halscheid

Crabber Biography:

Evan Halscheid is a Franklinville, NJ native who relocated to Maryland three years ago. Evan grew up fishing and crabbing with father (Chal) on a 20′ Mako mostly in the Delaware Bay. Nowadays, the Mako summers in Brigantine at North Point Marina so most of the fruits of the sea are harvested from the waters of North Brigantine. 2014 marked his Assault on Patcong Creek debut, where he served as a crew member about the jonboat Ramrod.

Evan is an experienced crabber who hand-makes all of his crab traps. While those homemade crab traps didn’t net him the biggest crab during his tournament debut, he is hopeful his name will be etched upon the Assault on Patcong Creek trophy.
