Lou Girimonte Sr.

Crabber Biography:

Lou Girimonte Sr. has been crabbing at the Jersey Shore for decades. He made his Assault on Patcong Creek tourney debut in 2013 aboard the Louie Lou with his son Lou Jr. Though he did not crab in the 2014 event, he did pull one of the largest crabs of the year out of Patcong Creek in mid-May, catching a 7 1/4″ mumbo while out with his son aboard Bushelled Out.

Lou Sr. is hoping he can catch another biggun during the tournament to take home the trophy at the Assault on Patcong Creek.

: Congratulations to Allison Hillman of Mullica Hill, NJ and Mason Weiss of Sewell, NJ on be selected as our scholarship recipients for the NJ Fish & Wildlife’s Sedge Island Field Experience in August. Allison is a three-year participant of the tournament and a junior champion decoy carver. Mason is a four-year tournament volunteer who is active in scouting. He hopes to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. We will honor them both and present them with checks at this year’s tournament.
