Crabber:

Bill Nelson

Crabber Biography:

Bill started crabbing, with Mom and Dad supervising, from the bulkhead down the street from his Uncle George’s house in OCNJ. As he grew up, he continued land crabbing behind the restaurants just before the 34th Street bridge and from Corson’s Inlet. He eventually stole his brother’s “”tin can”” and outboard and started to explore the creeks around OCNJ and the Dividing Creek. Although his current boat’s t-top limits him to staying below the bridges, he still manages to find crabs and more important, have fun while on the water. Growing up with boats in the blood, he has boated from the rocks in Trenton on the Delaware River south through the Delaware bay, from Cape May to Barnegat Inlet, and the upper Chesapeake including Kent Narrows, Rock Hall up through the C&D..
