“All indications out of Trenton are that the restrictions on gatherings of the magnitude of the tournament will not be lifted by before our originally scheduled dates,” said tournament founder, Ron Meischker. “It’s our hope that the restrictions will be relaxed over the next five months, allowing us to run the event in 2020.”
Tournament organizers targeted October 9th and 10th with the hopes retaining many of the out of state participants and fans because it is Columbus Day weekend.
“This event has always been a summer holiday weekend get-away typeevent for many of its participants, and we’re sensitive to that,” said Meischker. “It’s our hope that the Monday holiday will help encourage people to come down and stay the weekend in a hotel or at a local campground.
